I came across an interesting concept speaking to many people while promoting our grand opening week: "I do not want to look like I'm sick - so I'm not sure I want to shop at your store"
Actually a very legitimate observation, which is caused by the mental image that pharmacies have instilled in us: you go to a pharmacy with a prescription, prescription means you've been to the doctor, and you went to the doctor because you felt sick in the first place.
It is true - a "health store" is a holistic pharmacy that traded allopathic (i.e. drugs) medicine for Earth-given remedies. The most significant distinguishing factor is that our products are meant to help maintain the good balance of your body systems - physical, mental and spiritual [well, not so much the latter one] and not necessarily cure them.
The shopper at our store is usually the one who is not sick, on the contrary - it is a person, who does not want to be sick. Also it is someone, who came to realize that treating the effect of the illness with antibiotics is not as efficient as treating the cause.
However, I should add that there is always a time and a place for everything. When you cannot stand the stomach cramp because it hurts so much; when your fever has been high for over a week; when your blood-sugar level is all out of whack - you have to turn to our medical system. We have developed miraculous way of assisting the body in survival - think of complex surgeries; think of painkillers that allow to handle those surgeries; think of the tests that can be run.
As with everything - there has to be balance. We encourage you to take care of yourself, while you feel that you are healthy, not when an ailment pops up. Come on in and ask us a question - we would love to be of service to you with all the knowledge that we have.
Yours in health, Vadim
